When We Sit Back and Gripe We Do Ourselves a Disservice

It is not much to ask the peace, social, political and economic justice community to rally behind candidates throwing their hat into the ring to knock out Washington insiders that take from us. The only one getting cauliflower ear is us while Congresswoman like Melissa Bean in the IL-8th is pocketing the underhanded winnings to have another election under her belt at our expense all done under the table or behind closed doors with Raum Emmanuel and the DCCC as her manager and co-accomplice.

Now is the time to have the courage to fight the good fight with candidates who don't take special interest payoffs to throw fights. Be on the side of Candidates working with integrity. Now is the time to put your money where your mouth is and suppport your candidates in the field taking on these faux representatives. We are not helpless and we are not pushovers, and we cannot be bought. Bean took $60.00 per person in our district in 2006 to pay for her Republican Bush Regime win. She continues to fund the war- for every Iraqi civilian killed it is costing Americans 6 million dollars, not to mention the cost in American lives, the devastation to families, children, homes and country here and abroad.

Bean just last month was the only Democrat to vote against the $607 billion 2008 Labor-HHS appropriations bill, legislation important to the House leadership as an example of the Democrats' traditional commitment to the poor, sick and elderly

Beans pattern is to vote with special interests and lobbyists in Washington, to vote Republican. She is doing harm to us throughout the country. We cannot walk away and say we are doing all we can when candidate Randi Scheurer is the answer. She needs your help. You must not cave to apathy and a feeling of despair. Work with her! Do what you can from where you are. Pull a Howard Dean and lets get the resources behind Randi's campaign to get the word out and show we can clean House.
